A sad and a happy card

My first personal card this week, was a condolences card.  My friend's Nan passed and I made this for her.  (This is the first hand made card she had received - so I will be making her a more happy one next time !)

Recipe

Papermania papers in black and white.
Black cardstock
Pearls
Sentiment
embossing folder
and sizzix swirls and flower dies.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Cardmakin Mamas - Cut it out challenge
Wags'n'whiskers - black plus ribbons or pearls
crafty ribbons challenge - Bingo board
For your inspiration challenges - challenge 17
papercraft star - flourish

NOW for the happy card.  It is my best friend's birthday and since I moved away we meet up once a month.  This is the card I made for her birthday. My mate lives in North Cornwall.  The gorgeous teal/turquoise colours in this card remind me of the fabulous coastal scenery in a place that will always be dear to my hear.   The gorgeous Sarah Kay image was of course coloured with promarkers.

This is the front of the complete card

This is the back of the complete card

This is the front of the card without it's wrap

This is the inside of the open card

Recipe

Martha Stewart around the edge punches
Magnolia papers
Spellbinder Nestabilities
Sarah Kay stamp
Some ribbon from stashd
Promarkers
Dovecraft chalks

I will be entering this card into the following challenges:

CES Challenges - Entertain us song or film - Mama's Little baby loves Shortnin Bread
Colour create challenge - 83  Turquoise, deep pink and ivory
Southern Girls - Can you hear music   My song is Shortnin Bread- Mama's little baby loves

  14. Two beautiful cards. So difficult to make a good condolence card and you have done a fabulous job, and I love the second card too. That's my favourite MS punch on the inside. What a wonderful idea to use it in the way that you have.
