A big card and a big deal

Morning everyone.  How are you.  Wow, did you guys hear the rain last night, terrible, but my tomatoes are doing a happy dance, rain water ..... they look all perky this morning.

In todays post

Anyway today's card took me a whole day to create.  Its for my Dad, Francis, and I wanted to create something special.  I knew I wanted to use the reflection technique, I also knew I wanted to use the Traveller set, and I wanted to create a picture.

Boy you should see the mess I made in the craft room.  That lovely grid paper that SU sells is covered in trial runs ........ six to be exact.  Couldn't get it right ........ trees in the wrong place, perspective was all wrong ........ each time I started again ........ it was in my head, so it was going to be on paper ........

Anyway lots of paper and coffee later here is the finished result.

First I stamped the Train from the Traveller Set

The the trees from the Lovely as a Tree set which was double stamped

Then I worked out where the pond was and did the two reflections, the train and the trees

Then I stamped in my gorgeous clouds in soft sky.

lastly I water coloured with my classic ink pads and watercolour pen, blending in grass and hills, creating train tracks and shadows.

And of course giving lots of colour and depth to the pond with all the gorgeous blues and greens we have

The inside was matt and layered like the front.  Soft sky onto Early Espresso.  I am loving this colour combo.

I hope you like it.............. he loved it ....

So whats the big deal?

Well it's the wonderful and very useful Big Shot.

Stampin UP are giving you the opportunity to purchase one of these amazing machines together with a FREE Stamp and Die cutting bundle.

This is an amazing offer and could save you as much as £47.50 (depending on which bundle you choose).

If that isn't good enough, there are 5 bundles to choose from and you can buy the rest at a 15% discount.  How cool is that?

So if you haven't got your big shot and are wanting one, now is the time to buy.

If you have got your big shot and want some new dies and stamps then now is the time to buy.

Whats more one of the bundles features one of the new stamp sets from autumn/winter catalogue (which is not launched until the end of August).  Yep its a sneaky peak and you get have it too.

I am loving this set, and it has somehow slipped into my basket.  Ooops

And don't forget this is only available until the end of August.

July's technique class available online:

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I gave you the option to purchase my One Sheet Wonder class online.  This was held on Saturday morning and was great fun.

In the afternoon we used the same stamp set but did a Wet Wipe Technique Class.  Such good fun, who knew wet wipes were for more then cleaning babies bottoms!!!

Anyway here's the mock up shots of the class.  You can get the full kit including the stamp set in either clear or wood mount by giving me an email.

Card 1 is an easel card the front is above and inside is below

Next was the gorgeous window pane effect card

and lastly the floating butterflies

All three are using wet wipes to create effects.

If you would like to be able to do this class in the comfort of your own home please email me:  or call 07823 883769

and I will dispatch the kit to you.  The cost is £18.95* for the clear mount Kit and £22.95* for the wood mount kit.  It includes all card stock etc you need to be able to make these cards.

*There is p&p on all orders.

You will need to have the butterfly and Bird builder punch in your own stash.  Or you can order these at the same time.  You can either use the scallop circle punches to cut your flowers or fussy cut these.

You can combine both classes (yesterday's and todays) and make one payment and only pay one lot of postage.

I look forward to hearing for you and as always love getting your comments.  Its means so much.

Take care

So what did you do at the weekend ...................

It was the last Saturday of the month and that meant that my two classes ran on Saturday.  It was so hot, i'm surprised we didn't melt, but it was good fun.

Anyway here are the six cards that were made during the One Sheet Wonder Class.  It is an A4 one sheet wonder and I got my inspiration from the lovely Mae.  Thank you Mae.

Remember the beautiful boat reflection ..........

Morning everyone ..........

yes, thats right the boat reflection I did a couple of weeks ago, and I asked what would you like to see it turned into .....

Here's the link if you missed the post  Reflection technique

At that stage the image had been stamped and coloured and water coloured but was a flat piece of paper ...... there were so many lovely suggestions and I thank you all for taking the time to stop by and leave your comments.

Anyway are you ready ...............

From this

To this Easel reflection card

I used the lovely polka dots embossing folder to emboss the top of my card before turning it into an easel.  I stamped the bottom layer with lost lagoon and the gorgeous Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.

I matted and layered and distressed (vintage style) the edges of Tangello Twist and Lost Lagoon card stock

And stamped and cut with the Banners Framelits the gorgeous Flag.

It says ......... "now go change the world" and is part of one of the sayings from the Something to Say stamp set.

I hope you all love it.  I love that the reflection is not flat and has the three dimensional feel that it would in real life.

Anyway thanks again for taking the time to stop by and huge huge thank you's for all your comments and support.

As always hugs,
