Oak Pack Scouts ........ Peek a boo ........

A few weeks ago I had the honour of becoming an honorary scout for the evening and joining in Oak Pack's Mother's Day preparations.  They all made me very welcome and I would like to thank them all for my lovely thank you gift. (picture to follow)

Also a big shout out and thank you to Karen and Jean for inviting me.  I look forward to working with you guys again.

We used the lovely Peek a Boo Bigz die along with the wonderful Banner Punch, the petit petals and matching punch and the My Mother stamp set.

I chose Cherry Cobbler and Garden green on very vanilla cardstock as my basis.  The scouts embossed the cherry cobbler with the polka dots embossing folder before adding to their cards.  They then cut the window, stamped their flowers and banners and set to work punching them out.

There were two sides to the table, and I coached this half, and .....

Karen coached this half.  The final touch was some sparkly gems and a pretty bow.

Which team do you think we're best?  I think that each and everyone of the scouts made a brilliant card and I know their mums were really pleased.

Meg and her friends ..........

Last month the lovely ladies at Gatchell Oaks invited me to start a craft club for them.  They placed an order for their first lovely goodies from Stampin Up and our craft club was born.

They ordered during Sale-a-Bration so had lots of lovely freebies as well as their hostess credits to play with, so we had lots of stamp sets and inks with which to create our first projects.

We meed the first Tuesday of each month and its great fun.  There are lots of laughs and I truly love spending time with these guys.  So thank you Meg and Mary for making this possible.

This month we concentrated on a couple of the stamp sets they had purchased, and we made three cards.  Here's the results.

I think they have done an amazing job. The stamp sets we used are shown below.  As is the lovely Banner Punch, which was one of their free Sale-a-Bration items.  But don't panic, its going to be coming back in our new annual catalogue in June, so if you missed out now you can get it then.

We also used the big shot and the lovely Polka Dots embossing folder to create the bottom half of the Build a Bird/Polka Dot Pieces card.
The hardwood stamp set was combined with one of the Sale-a-bration stamp sets to create a flower card.
And the final card was made using the simply sketched poppy, and the banner punch and matching Banner Blast stamp set.
All sentiments used were contained in these sets.

Weekly Deals .................... fantastic goodies at brilliant prices

Today Stampin UP! launches it's Weekly deals in the UK.  Hurrah......... i'm so excited and I just can't hide it ...............  I'm about to loose control and I think my craft room will like it.

This is an amazing way for you to grab great products at fantastic prices so that you can increase your craft stash.  Deals will be announced daily on the Stampin Up website.

A few days ago, Mum's in the UK had Mothers day and I made an amazing card for my very special Mum.

I used the wonderful Happy Watercolour stamp set.  I stamped the various components in Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Canteloupe and Strawberry Slush.  I layered this up on Coastal Cabanna card stock.  I made the lovely sentiment using the Starburst Sayings stamp set and then cut this out with the matching framelits.  I edged this with pistachio pudding ruffled ribbon.

I framed the lovely poppies in the retro polarioid frame from the On Film framelits set and finished this off with chevron ribbon.

Inside is stamped and layered using the same card stock and stamps.  I framed a picture of my children in the film strip from the On Film framelits set.  The hearts and the XOXO is from the  Circle Card Thinlits set.

The last two pages were stamped and layered in the same way using the same colours.

Again I used the On Film framelits and created a frame around my picture.  This time I sanded the Baked Brown Sugar Coredinations paper to give it a worn look.

I used the Starburst Sayings stamp set and the My Mother stamp set on the final page.

I of course wrote my Mum a personal message as well.

I have a wonderful and supportive Mum and loved making this for her.

I also received handmade cards and goodies for Mothers day and some gorgeous flowers.

So don't forget to pop over to the shop and grab your daily deals today.

These are the products used in my card today, along with my card stock and inks.

Hi Everyone,

Wow, I can't believe its been a few weeks since I posted.  Apologies for that, but I have a good excuse and a very exciting reason.

Firstly, how did your Sale-a-Bration go?  I hope that all my customers, both old and new enjoyed playing with their free products.  I know I am.  For those of you in my stamping clubs, I know that you certainly are having fun with them.

I will be using the free products for a while yet, so see if you can spot them in my blog postings.

Well, my reason for being absent is that I am moving.  Really excited about this, as my new house, has an annex, and this is going to become my Craft Annex.  Woohoo!!!

For those of you who know me, you will know that my nickname is "Bird".  I have been bird for about the last 14 years and so it seems appropriate that the annex should be called "The Aviary"

So Crunchie Crafts is moving to "The Aviary"

More to follow about this in later postings.........

But for todays posting I wanted to share something sunny with you....... it's a bit grey in Somerset this morning so this has brightened my day.

It was my friend's birthday recently and whilst looking for inspiration I found a card similar to this on Dawn's Blog.  So thanks Dawn for your inspiration.

I changed the card up a bit and used the lovely Hardwood stamp in Daffodil yellow.  Made the stems with Flowering Flourishes and used the Petit Petals Punch and the baby blossom punch to make the daffodils.   The Banner Framelits were used for the greeting.  And lastly the fringe was made using our lovely new scissors.

I had great fun making this card and I know Charlie loved receiving it.

If you would like to recreate this card and need the supplies then please pop over to my on-line shop where I will be happy to help you.

I hope you have a lovely day.

I be sharing pictures of the progress of the new Annex shortly, and will hopefully see some of you at the end of the month, for the first class there.

Hugs
