Sorry I know it 's been a week and I've been missing in my postings.
It's been a manic week, with another to come. Be sure to keep checking back to see what's been going on and what is happening.
Anyway apologies over, lets try and get up to speed ..........
BECKY and JOHN you are seriously great guys and you rock. And what's more I really enjoyed the break from the Christmas themes that we are all doing........... your non festive request tested my imagination at this time of year and I loved it. Thanks for giving me a challenge.
Here's a little taster of last night's projects,
Can you guess what they were?
Do you know what products we used?
How many different products do you think they used? .............. Well they used 8 different types of product. All from Stampin Up and all extremely versatile.
little did I know how competitive they are .......... and what fun!!
Becky and her friends had great fun choosing their favourite products from our ideas book and also joining in the make and take part of the evening.
There were 7 guests and we did this in two sections.
Becky and three friends went first, with the final 3 set to go second. After the first group had completed their gorgeous projects the final three sat down to get playing with some of the wonderful products Stampin UP have to offer. Just at that moment John, reappeared and was co-ocersed into joining in. Congrats John, you are the first man to take part in one of my workshops. You truly are a great sport.
Anyway everyone had fun, trimming, stamping, punching and scoring .............. lots of papers, colours and glue was used and so much fun and laughter was around, that it really was a great fun night. Lots of the ladies including Helen, Bernie and Jo said they couldn't do it, it was too fiddly and they didn't think their project would be as good as everyone else's.
Oh boy ladies, did you prove yourselves wrong ............ you are one talented group of people.
So are you curious about what they made? ...........
So what did they create .............
Well as you can see everyone made their very own cards, using the 2013/14 In colour palette of card stock and matching Designer Series Paper.
I wanted to highlight some of the non christmas theme stamps sets and accessories in the Autumn Winter ideas book, so decided to use the Truly Grateful Stamp set.
The gorgeous wood texture background was perfect stamped in Baked Brown Sugar and Baked Brown Sugar card stock.
After that the sky was the limit. I put the scraps of card stock on the table and both the bird and the Owl punch and let this amazingly talented bunch set their creativity free.
As you can see every card was different and unique.
To match their amazing cards each lovely guest created their very own matching envelope in Designer Series paper using the amazing ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD
It's so easy and a real must. Don't you just love good quality, beautiful and unique envelopes to match your hand-made cards. Why make do with plain boring cream, white or black shop bought envelopes when they could be as unique as you and your creations.
Anyway all the guests had great fun and loved this item of equipment, together with everything else they tried. They had great fun choosing their products and then it was time for the prize draw.
Three of the lucky guests won Stampin Up goodies just for being there.
My final pic this time is of Becky and Johns's cards. Becky went first, and John second.
Guys I love ya. You made me smile, laugh and I had a great time with you.
Becky's card is on the left and John's is on the right. Who's card do you like best?
I'd love to know
Anyway guys I'd like to say thanks again and I am really looking forward to our next workshop in Febuary.
Don't forget if you want to order any of the product used today you can order them in my online shop. Also don't forget to use this month's hostess code.
