I've got Tim Holtz on my ........

Hi to all my fellow crunchies.  How are you all doing?

As some of you guys know I have had a really rough year so far, but am getting there and as a little bit of inspiration I decided to use some good old Timmy to cheer me up every day.

Yep I've had Tim tattooed on my person.  The first was done last week and the second is being done tomorrow:

I have decided to use two of Timmy's inspiration pieces to make me believe that life does go on and that I can do it ........ so here's the first.  Its still a bit bruised but is looking fantastic.  And it's true we should live in the moment and make is so beautiful that it will be worth remembering.  Cause I know now that they pass way to quickly.  Check back next week to see what I am having done tomorrow.

What do you think Timmy would say????

CUITE PIE CHALLENGE NO 19 - Easel with a sketch.
Over on my other blog - The Cutie Pie Challenge - we are having a brilliant challenge this fortnight.  It is an easel card using an optional sketch.  We are being sponsored by the fantastic Stamp and Create store  and the fabulous Kenny K.  I just love the Kenny K images and have chosen Lady Victoria to work with

I used some freebie papers from a my stash - they were from last year and have stamped them with cogs from Creative Creations Steampunk stamps.  The sentiment is also from this set.  I have layered the papers and edged them with the fantastic edging tool by good old Timmy.  The beautiful flower is an old brooch.  The flowers are from stock.

Why don't you hop on over and see what the other girlies have come up with.  Their creations are stunning and I would love it if you joined in.

Time is flying over at the Anything Goes Challenge Blog

Morning to all my fellow "Crunchies".  I hope that you have had a fantastic weekend and that you caught up on all my exciting new yesterday.

Don't forget to become a fellow Cutie and hop on over to my Challenge Blog and join in.  We always have great sponsors and fab prizes.

As many of your now I belong to another fantastic design team - who inspire all you guys on the Anything Goes Blog.  This fortnight our challenge is "Tick Tock goes the Clock"  anything time related or steam punk.

Well how can a girl resist a bit of Tim Holtz in her life, and he fits so well with this theme.  It was my baby brother's birthday last month so this is the card I came up with for him....

The gorgeous clock is of course a TH Sizzex die.  The papers are by Kanban and also Graphic 45 and the edges have been distressed with TH distress inks.  I used spellbinder Nestabilities to cut the gorgeous matting and layering shapes.  The fantastic gentleman topper is from Kanban.  (Isn't he just so handsome and dapper!!)
The "Brother" wording was cut on my Cricut.
If you look closely you will see that the whole of the card was stamped with one of the new papermania urban stamps using black ink before I matted and layered all those fab papers.

I decorated the inside using scraps of the same papers used on the front.  The verse is one from an old card.  I stamped the paper with the same papermania urban stamp in a toning colour and then printed the verse.

Dont forget the fantastic Craft Den sells lots of gorgeous timmy products and many more besides.

I hope you like it.

New digis at Make it Crafty

Hi everyone,
As many of my fabbie fellow "Crunchies" know stamping is my passion, my former favs were LOTV, but since I have discovered digi stamps, and their fantastic ability to be resized I have fallen in love with Make It Crafty.  I now have about 10 of their amazing images and just love the print quality and the way they colour up.

This card has been made for my amazing God-daughter's 18th Birthday.  I have printed and coloured the fantastic  Anastasia  from Make It Crafty and then I have torn around the edges.  The other papers are all torn and are from Kanban Industrial Collection and Graphics 45.  I just loved the colours in the Graphics 45 paper and decided to base my colouring on those.  Dovecraft chalks were used to shade the background to this gorgeous image.

The flowers were made with Tim Holtz Grunge Paper and then distressed and glittered.   The 18 was cut on the Cricut.  I made my gorgeous stick pins from my bead stash and the pretty butterfly is from a necklace I no longer wear.  The card was stamped with TH distress in with a Papermania stamp.

I hope you all love this, as Much as I hope Charlie Lou will.

Hugs

Yep, me again, I am still here.

I am not entering this card into any online competitions this week, but am going to be applying for a DT position with Make it Crafty. Although they are based in Australia and I live in the UK, I would love the opportunity to be part of this design team.    I am fairly new to crafting (only a year in May 2012) and feel that I have grown and am still learning.  Having only recently discovered the brilliant benefits on digi crafting - I cannot shout enough about their gorgeous stamps.  Many of the cards in my postings during the last few months have been made using MIC stamps.  Here is a link to one I made for my Daughter.  She was in a school play and I used the image on a twisted easel card.  I used the fantastic Elizabeth stamp and matched my papers and colours to my daughter's favourite ones.  http://crunchiecrafts.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/with-love.html

I also used another of these fantastic images as a card for my hubby who left me in January for another woman. The image was "Anabelle".   The card was for his birthday and the theme was a song ........ I chose "Jolene" by Dolly Parton, and this image fitted the description perfectly.  (Sadly he never got the irony!!)
I am fascinated with the 3d kits they are producing and the gorgeous gingerbread houses are really taking my fancy, just perfect as gifts for my little ones at Easter. But then the fantastic chipboard embellies would be great on my cards, allowing me to add my own colours to such great shapes.  Well I could go on and on about how much I am loving their fantastic products, and what would be on my wish list, but it would be remiss of me not to mention their new blog layout.  It's great and sooo easy to use.

I think many of my fellow "Crunchies" will agree that card making is my fav type of crafting, but I am getting to the stage where a little bit of 3d would be fab.  My embellies are getting bigger, and so are my cards, so perhaps this would be good.  I also love cake making, can't you just see cupcakes inside that Gingerbread house, oooooh I can and now i'm hungry.  I feel that being on such a fab team would give me further inspiration and the chance to use a range of products with which I have yet to experiment, further adding to my inspiration pot and experience.

Thanks for this opportunity Zoe and good luck to everyone else that has applied.

Hugs

Lisa x

sugar nellie girl with butterfly

This is one of the "new to me" Sugar Nellie stamps that I won earlier this month.  I think she's really cute.  I love the detail in this stamp and of course the butterflies.
I have coloured her with promarkers and mounted her on pink mirricard.  I have also used coredinations   pink paper which was then embossed using a cuttlebug and then distressed.  The happy birthday paper is papermania. The stripes are First Edition Sweet Owl papers.  I made the flowers using the tim holtz tattered florals die, in Tim Holtz paper and Papermania Kraft cardstock, these were then distressed using TH distress inks.  The smaller roses were hand made from the papers used in the project.

The sentiment inside is from the Tatty Ted Digital Designer CD.  The edge has been created using a Martha Stewart Die.

I then made a box for this card from Kraft Card and Cordinations Card.  The happy birthday was cut on the Cricut. The lid was finished with some card candi and three flower embelishments.

I am going to enter this into the following challenges:

Well it's wet and horrible here in Somerset today, kids out with friends, hubby off working, so I have the perfect crafting day.  Spent a fantastic day yesterday at Monkton Elm Garden Centre, at a Docrafts Craft Demonstration with Sue.  It was brilliant.  Did I come away empty handed........... no of course not.  Also got my new Heritage cartridge for the Cricut.  So excited, can't wait to try it out.

Anyway here is a card I have made for the Mil. Its their friends anniversary so a card was needed.  Something nice and sunny .............

So here's tilda in all her summery colours.

The yellow papers are from the Papermania colour capsule range, the oranges are from Stampin Up.  Tilda has been coloured using Promarkers.  I have then inked the edge of the image using Papermania Mini Ink Pads.  The sentiment is LOTV and I used my Nesties to create the shape.  The swirls are Tim Holtz.  The roses are made from sprirals of torn paper.  The verse and flower are from the Docrafts Digital Designer Cd.  The edge of the insert was punched with a Martha Stewart Punch.
I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges:

Sunday's crafty makes

Hi everyone and thank you for looking at my blog.

It's been lovely here today, have had a great day, out to lunch with the out-laws, a gentle stroll along the canal - not too far mind and in between some lovely peaceful crafting.  Below is what I have come up with today.

LOTV card.  This was a challenge I set on the Docrafts forum.  The theme - I love you, colour white on white with a ribbon, a bow and three embelishments.  I have made my flowers using my new Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die and some stickies glitter glue.  Great Fun.  The image was coloured with Promarkers.

This is a childs birthday card.  I used my x-cute nesting die to cut out the balloons and the party image.  The papers were from the Birthday goodie bag bag in April.

Birthday Girl and Happy Birthday cards . Again these papers were from the Birthday Goody Bag in April.  The design is for the Monday Sketch Challenge on the Docrafts Forum.  The balloons were cut and embossed with my Nesties and the tag is stamped with a LOTV image.

The tatty ted image is has been framed using a nestie die and then mounted onto tatty ted papers.  Hougie Board flowers made and adhered along with card candy and a ribbon.  The backing paper is Hunkydory.
The sentiment is Tulip.

Thanks for taking the time to look. x

My first card on my new blog

And this is the 100th Card upload on my Docrafts gallery.

The card was stamped using a Papermania Cupcake and Cake Stand Stamp in Papermania pink inks.
The papers are from the Totally Tropical Summer Papers from Kate Knight.
Tilda was coloured with Promarkers.

The sentiment is from the Tulip collection and last but not least the swirls were made using my new Tim Holtz swirls die.
