SNEAKY PEAK ....... so what was on my desk?

A few days ago I posted a sneaky peak of something that was on my desk.

Did any of you guess what it was?

Heres the pictures I shared

I love being creative and love gift giving but I also love drinking tea.  Rooibos in awesome, English Breakfast, Raspberry and Echinacea, the list is endless, and I love that they come in gorgeous little bags.

Problem:  But how to store them, so they look pretty but can be easily accessible?

Solution:  Stampin Up supplies to the rescue - use the scoreboard and your papers to build a caddy.

Simple

What a cute gift.  I found a similar one by Vicky, but her measurements were way to small for the brand of tea I wanted to store, so I set to work with my grid paper and worked out all my dimensions.

I then cut my card stock and scored.  Before finally getting to play with the new Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack.

I cut the panels to the right size.  Stamped the gorgeous image from the hostess set, Blooming with Hope and then got out my water colour pen.

I love this tool, using this I can create great water - colours using my Classic ink pads.  Awesome.

So each panel is hand painted.  There are four on each box.

Lastly I created a handle on the lid using an Antique Brad, and then cut the letters using the oh so cute and totally must have-able, in fact, you can't live without, little letters framelits.  Aren't these just so adorable.  The letters were sponged in co-ordinating inks.

and what gift is complete without matching tag.

Having made one in Blackberry Bliss I was inspired to try
Hello Honey (from the Moonlight DSP Stack) and the Lost Lagoon card stock.
But if that wasn't enough,

How about Hello Honey card stock with Moonlight DSP and water coloured Butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri Set stamped in Tangello Twist.  Lush.  The box was cut to dispense the bags in along the longer side in this version.

Cute.  Aren't these adorable.  Yep Love em.

Talking of cute and adorable, how about something Short and Sweet.

Early Espresso Birthday and 50% free

In today's post:

  • Sandras Birthday, early espresso and crumb cake
  • Short and Sweet - 50% extra free
  • Big shot, big deals

Morning everyone.

Hows your week been?  Mines been lovely.  Although I am missing my kids, (They're away with family), the house is quiet, and too tidy.  But I have had lots of time to get crafty and make some special gifts for special people.

It was my friend Sandra's birthday so I needed to make her an extra special card.  I am loving crumb cake and early espresso together at the moment, and here's what I came up with.

I made the base for this by folding a piece of UK A4 in half to create an A5 card.

Very vanilla was stamped with Gorgeous Grunge

Matts and layers using the windows framelits were finished off with the lovely saying from the Feel Goods set.

Don't you love that heart border.  Created completely with our hearts boarder punch.  Yummy.

Beautiful ribbon deserves a beautiful bow.  Finished off with a gorgeous button.

Don't you love the colour of this button.  Yep, me too.  And it started life as a clear faceted button.  I coloured it with a blendabilitie pen in the darkest of the skin tones.  Gorgeous.

Off course the inside had to look pretty too.

And there was a matching tag for her present.

mmmm chocolates.

So I hear whats this short and sweet, and the 50% free.  Yes I did say 50% free.

Colour tools .....

Hi guys,

I don't know about you, but if my desk or workspace is not tidy I find my creativity takes a wander and disappears.

My ink pads are stacked neatly in their ink pad holder, my pens are in their holder, but my sponges and daubers were all over the place.

They all got mixed up, colours became duplicated and messed up, so I decided to do something about it.

A quick trip to a local DIY store and this was the result ...

So now all my colours are easy to find.  Divided into sections, with daubers and sponges neatly arranged.

And although I've been crafting for years, and a demonstrator for 18 months I still find the colour coach an invaluable tool.

If you struggle with putting colour ideas together or are looking for new colour combinations then the colour coach is an amazing tool.  It's available from me or any other demonstrator.

Want to know what a tidy desk has achieved ......

Here's a sneak peak .....  Check back tomorrow to see the full project ....

Any ideas what this is.  And isn't that stamp gorgeous ......  It's a hostess stamp.  One of the extra value special sets that only hostesses can get.  To be able to get this or one of the other sets simply host your own workshop, and have a great time, and earn extra special stamp sets.

To book simply give me a call or email me.

Happy Monday to you ......

Hi guys.  So it's Monday already,  I've had such a fab weekend, spent some lovely quality time with my family.

My gorgeous daughter and I.

And my fur babies

 And how cute is this.

A complete swan family on our dog walk.  dad swan was just to the right of this picture

 Close up of cygnets.

We've been on great dog walks, had a lovely relaxed lunch at a local historical house and then a movie night.  Fab. Oh and I managed a little bit of crafting.

So what did I get up to?

Well I made some gorgeous giant tea light boxes.

I made several of them, and changed the ribbons each time.  They're just waiting for their gift tags.

The papers are now retired from Stampin Up, but I loved the way they look.

All these are wrapped with our gorgeous chevron ribbon

And these are with our vanilla cotton ribbon and our seam binding. Awesome.

I'd love to say I designed these boxes, but they are based on a design by my friend Sam.  I hope she approves of my Case of her project.

Have a great day.
