A little romance ........ leads to .............

A wedding acceptance card.

My gorgeous landlady requested this card for a close friend of hers who is getting married next month.

The brief was silver, rings and something that didn't look shop bought .............. wow, that left the field wide open.

I wanted the card to reflect the bride's invite - which had silver rings on it.  I also wanted fairytale romance.  Here's what I came up with

I used Coredin'ations card stock to emboss a Couture Creations figure, and then sanded this lightly.  The circular image and co-ordinating corners are from Kanban.  I layered these onto Kanban papers and pleated a Papermania ribbon, adding a glitter buckle and heart charm.  All the paper edges have been distressed using the fantastic Tim Holtz distress tool.  Lastly I added a little pearl necklace to the beautiful embossed dummy.

Thanks for looking and all your wonderful comments, they always mean so much to me.

Hugs to you all

Just to say ..............

Hi everyone from a very wet Somerset.   Sooooo cold I had to put the heating on today !!!!
Not giving in tho, summer skirts, t-shirts etc.  It's July not December !!!!!

Today's card is using the lovely de-coupaged Wellington from Papermania, and Bo Bunny papers from stash.  I have edged and distressed using the wonderful Tim Holtz inks, and layered onto kraft cardstock.  Tickets and embellishments by Tim, together with Lilli of the Valley postcard stamped card give meaning to the front of the card.  The inside has also been decorated and has been stamped with Wellington Sentiments.

I hope everyone looking at this loves it as much as I do.

Polka Dots

Well as you already know I'm behind on all my postings at the moment........... must try harder.

Anyway over on the Anything Goes challenge blog, it's polka dots with birthday.

This is my card.  I have used the fantastic gorjuss, coloured of course with Promarkers  (who has polka dots on her brollie!!)  and then layered her over some Country Companions paper.  I have added a Tim Holtz stamped sentiment, cut with a Spellbinders Nestie, coloured with Dovecraft chalks, and some beautiful ribbons.  The edges of the card were also coloured with Dovecraft Chalks.

This the inside, again the papers are from the Country Companions range, I used this brilliant verse from the Wellington Range, as is the little girl hugging the bear.    The ribbon is from my stash again.

A very simple card to do, but one which hope you will agree is quite effective.

Hugs
