Team training tag book ...... blackberry crumble .........

Hi everyone.

Thank you to everyone who has liked my Facebook page ........

https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=382935088495465

Its great to have so many new followers.

It was team training for the Crafting Birds last week.  It was great to get together and have some fun and laughs with the other girls.

We did some boring business stuff in the morning and then we spent some lovely time crafting together.  Sandra made some cute Punch Art for everyone to try and I had devised this gorgeous book.  The colours are Crumb Cake and Blackberry bliss.  Reminds me of Blackberry crumble.  Yummy.

I am so in love with this little Tag Book, that I wanted to be able to share it with you.  I am also including the recipe for this so you can all have a go.  Its just so sweet.   I have also finished mine completely, so you get to see some of my photos.  (Yes I am a big kid at heart, as you will see!)

Do you remember yesterday I talked about some of the great ways to spread the cost of your crafting?
Yes, thats good.  Well today I wanted to share with you the way to get all the lovely new In-Colour products.  There is an in-colour Club that I run.  It lasts for Five months.  So you know exactly what you are spending.  You get card stock, ribbon, ink, pens, and lots more in each colour, and after five months you have all of it.  Its a great way to build your colour collection.  I decorated the album above using the new Blackberry Bliss ink pad and a sponge and a mask to create my own patterned paper.  Love this colour.

You can also do the same for the entire Ink Pad collection and the Marker Pens collection.  There are lots of options just waiting to solve your craft spend v building your stash problem.  If you want to know more about either option please pop over to the Virtual Hostess Page and you can find full details.

You can also contact me on 07823 883769  or email at:  craftybirdlisa@gmail.com

TAG BOOK RECIPE:

  • 2 x A4 pieces of Cardstock.
  • 1 x designer series paper
  • tombow glue (or other strong glue)
  • Ribbon
  • Photos
  • Tag topper punch or similar
  • any other punches or embellishments

To make the basic album.  On the landscape side (the long side) cut the card to 10 3/4"

Next score on the landscape side at    2 1/2", 2 3/4",  5 1/4", 5 1/2", 8 and lastly 8 1/4"

The on the portrait side score at 1" and 6 "

Burnish all score lines ...... being careful to go with the score line not against it as you risk cracking your card stock.

Now you have to trim out all the very small rectangles from either side .................. as in this picture.

If you wish, you can round the corners of all your flaps at this stage.

Next run a small bead of glue along the outside two edges of each fop and fold up to create a pocket

To form your tags, cut four pieces of card stock at 2" x 4" long.  Punch the top out using one of the lovely tag topper punches.

To decorate your basic album you will need to cut the following

4 x pieces of paper at   4 3/4" x   2 1/4" (this is for the large panels on the back of the album)

4 x pieces of paper at    2 x 2 1/4"  (This if for the little pockets)

I have distressed all the edges of my paper with a dauber and some ink.

I also did this to all the folded edges of my album.

I finished off with some ribbons, and lots of lovely punch art and some gorgeous stamping.

(I am happy for you to reproduce this for you own use, but this is not intended for use in classes or workshops.)

I would love to see your albums.  Please leave a link to your posts in my comments box below, and I promise I will stop by and look at them all.

If you have any questions please give me a call or contact me via Facebook or email.

Good morning and hello 2014/15

Hi everyone.  Wow. What a week.  Since Tuesday it has been so busy here.

I'd love to say with just crafting loveliness, but that wouldn't be true.  My family and I have been spending lots of lovely time together and getting out and about in the evenings.

Picnics in the woods, chips by the sea, and walks in the fields to name just a few. It's been a great week, and now there's the weekend to look forward to.

new Stampin' Up! annual catalogue

So, has everyone got their copy go the new 2014/15 catalogue?

I've had mine for about two weeks, and I just love it's awesome layout.  It's got so many fab ideas and layouts for you to CASE.  It's just wonderful and so exciting.

I've fallen in love all over again, with some old products, discovered and am beginning to adore new ones.  And am needing and wanting, and must having lots of great stamps and dies.........  And who I am kidding.........  I need everything, so I can make lots of loveliness to post on my blog.  So what's a girl to do.

This could be a huge problem, not only for me but for my bank balance ........

Well, I've been thinking about that, because it know that's not a problem which I am alone in facing.

So I think I have a solution to our problems.

Let's buy a little each month.  That way:-

  • we know exactly what we're going to be spending and can budget for it.
  • We can decide monthly what out biggest need is for that month
  • we can build our craft stash bit by bit without hurting our bank manager!  Lol

Ok. So that's the solution to the problem .......  Where do we find it.

Well right here of course.  I am once again opening the doors on my new craft clubs.

The Hostess Club

This is a 10 month Club.  Each month you spend a minimum of £15.  There are 10 in each club.  Each of you gets to be hostess on one of the months and you get an extra £25 to spend for free on that month.

Stampers 6

This is a 6 month club, with 6 participants.  Each month your minimum spend is £25.  Again over the 6 month time frame, each of the six of you is hostess and gets the extra £25 to spend for free.

And lastly is the colour clubs.

Do you want all the new In colours?  Yes. Then there is a solution to that to.......  And I will tell you more about that tomorrow.

Do you want to collect all the colour ink pads.  Yes, then again I can help with that.

If you have a problem with your crafting spending.......

Then I do have the solution.

For more information about these clubs, please pop over to the Virtual Hostess Clubs page and have a look.

If you would like to join one of these clubs - They will be starting on the 1st August 2014 then please let me know either by email:  craftybirdlisa@gmail.com   or telephone  07823 883769

Thank you to all the lovelies that came to Saturday's event.  You made it extra special.

So we're nearly at the end of the month and I am so excited because the new 2014/15 catalogue goes live on 1st July.  I can't wait. ......... singing and doing a little happy dance.
