My final Sunday .............

over at Sunday Stamps.  I am of course using Stampin UP products in this challenge.

I have loved being a guest designer this month.  Thanks again to Holly and everyone else for making me feel so welcome.

I would love to come back again.

Anyway here's the final challenge for November ........ can you believe it, in less then 1 month Christmas will have been and gone and we will be looking forward to 2015.

Anyway with that in mind ...... and the fact that you may be Christmas'd out I focused my colours for this sketch on Autumn.

Here's the sketch

Its challenge SSC 90

Isn't this just a great sketch.  Now I love being able to create layers, so this was perfect.

Firstly tho, I chose my colours ........ for this card I have used Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Pumpkin Pie.  Not normally my colours but I used the Colour Coach to challenge myself even more.

Firstly I stamped the images in Chocolate Chip and Real Red, using the Bordering Blooms Stamp Set.

Then using the Banner Punch I cut the strips into banners.

Before matting and layering onto the cardstock.

I loved this effect so much I even put them inside.  Isn't it nice to be able to decorate the inside to match the front.  Makes everything just that little bit more special.

As always all the products used today can be purchased in my online shop.

So pop over to Sunday Stamps and enter into this fortnight's challenge.  I will be popping over to check out everyone's entries.

Don't forget to order your supplies today, because for the last time this month I am giving a free gift to everyone who places an online order of £50 or more today.

Big hugs

Stampin Up! White Christmas

Morning everyone

Is not just for Christmas.

Cherry cobbler meets confetti stars

Morning everyone.

Whilst teaching class last month, I had 5 minutes to have a play myself.

So I sat and had a coffee with the ladies and began punching out some stars using the new confetti stars punch.  This is a lovely big punch and is so easy to use and line up.

Anyway I loved the effect and wanted to use it on a card.

I saved the stars I punched out.

Using the Designer Series Paper Stack I matted a layer of Old Olive and then added the confetti punched piece.

I then added a further strip of the DSP and matching ribbon, topping off with a sentiment from the White Christmas Stamp Set.

Lastly I used my two-way glue pen to stick down the stars.

Simple, but very effective.

Am off to try this in whisper white and night of navy.  What colour combinations would you like to see.

To get your hands on this gorgeous punch, head on over to my store now.

I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Monday's invites ........

Morning everyone.

I hope today, being Monday, finds you all well and rested after a wonderful weekend.

We certainly had a mixed bag of weather.

I spent Saturday with the Somerset Care Association at their Craft Fayre in Wells.
It was a lovely day and I met some amazing people.

Next weekend I am at the Chestnut Buttons Christmas Fayre on Sunday 9th November.  This is just off J24 on the M5.  There is going to be lots going on and I am running small workshops all day.

So excited, about that one.

Anyway I also had the pleasure of being asked to make a few invites for a friend's birthday this month.

I did several samples to show her and this is one of them.

As you can see in this sample - I have decorated the envelope with the punched flowers as well.

I used the Apothecary Art stamp set to stamp the background and then cut both the top layer and the pink matt out using the matching framelits.

These two are in a bundle offer in the annual catalogue so are a great buy if you are building up your collection of dies.  This is such a versatile die.

The punched out flower is using the Itty Bitty Accents punch and then I have added a pearl in the middle.

I love the simplicity of this, but it is very girly and feminine at the same time.

Pop back again tomorrow when I will have more to show you.

Don't forget also to enter this fortnight's challenge over at Sunday Stamps

Frosted sequins ............

Morning Crunchies.

As promised today I have day 4 of the Letterpress week to show you.

Today is a very clean and simple card, but I think its really beautiful.

I have used the frame from the Letterpress set and stamped it in Night of Navy.  I have stamped the sentiment in Pool Part.  Don't you love the contrast.

I have added frosted sequins to the frame artwork to give it some sparkle.

The Base of the card is Night of Navy, with a Pool Party matt and then the whisper white stamped layer.

Tomorrow I will be showing you the last of my five designs.

But don't panic, theres lots more inspiration coming up.

Big hugs

Letterpress just for you ............... and new

Morning Crunchies.  How are you all?

Today is wet in Somerset, but I am staying in the craft room and keeping warm and dry.

In today's Blog:
  • Letterpress Day 3 - Just for you
  • Weekly Deals

So as promised all week I am blogging about a recent class I did.  It was a huge success and all my ladies loved it.  I am running a second class of this later this week.

Here's the third card in the set using the lovely Letterpress Stamp Set.

To start with I added ribbon to my first matt layer and adhered behind - so there are no horrid ends showing.  Added a ribbon bow in matching lost lagoon.  Then I matted and layered the whisper white cardstock,  and then a lost lagoon layer before adding a final white layer.  The top layer has been stamped with Pear pizzazz, and Pool Party.  I then stamped and punched the sentiment - again from the Letterpress set.

I will be making this card in different colours as it so cute. I saw a similar design on Pinterest by Think Pink, but I have changed it up a bit.  Love it.

Look at all the lovely goodies.  Ribbon, washi tape and so so much more.  Not got these lovely Word Bubble Framelits. They are so awesome to use.  Remember this one.

The sentiments in these were cut with those framelits.  A must for great layering.

Don't forget all these discounted prices are only available for 1 week.  So hurry and get yours before the price goes back up.

See you tomorrow.

Thanks again to everyone that continues to order both in person and on-line.  Your continued support means so much.

Big Hugs

Pretty in pink

Hi guys.   Lisa, your local Stampin Up uk demonstrator here.

How are you all today.

I'm super super excited, there are some amazing joining offers and shopping offers launching next week.  I am just so excited, and I can't wait to welcome new members to my ever growing team/club members.

Want to know more, then check back on the 1st for all the info.

Anyway today's card is a conditioned card for my Mil's friend Lorna.

She lurves pink.  The pinker the better.  And my mil, loves the peacock stamp.  So I've combined them again.

I've heat embossed the peacock in white, having used my embossing buddy first.

I also heat embossed the sentiment, before punching out.

I finished this of with some basic jewels randomly dotted everywhere.

I hope you like this one.

I'm off having a girlie weekend with friends, and look forward to sharing another pink creation with you tomorrow.

Have a great day.

P.s.  Don't forget you can order 24/7 from my online shop by clicking the shop with me button.  Thanks to all my customers who do and who use the hostess code.  Your custom is always much appreciated.

hexagons gone punchy

Hi guys, Lisa, your local Stampin Up Uk Independent Demonstrator here.

In today's post

  • Six sided sampler meets the colour coach
  • weekly deals

SIX SIDED SAMPLER MEETS THE COLOUR COACH - CARD 1

So on Monday I talked about the colour coach and how much it has helped me when I've been stuck.  I was challenged on Monday to just open it and then go with whatever colours appeared.

I opened it at Always Artichoke. - Green ........ hmm not a colour I work with a lot.  So turning it over it showed Cajun Craze, So Saffron and Always Artichoke paired together.

OK.

I also challenged myself to use the Six sided sampler set ....... I don't own this now, but I will soon.  I really didn't like it.  Too geometric, out of my comfort zone.  What would I use that for.

How wrong was I.  I love it.  Love the way you can create amazing backgrounds with it.  Gorgeous.

Anyway here's today's card - its the last of the three I created and I am really pleased with this one.

I have used the co-ordinating punch to punch out random areas of the stamped cardstock to create apertures in the pattern.  I have also stamped below these panels.  This time I have again punched out the sentiment and added some white bakers twine and a jewel.

I have used  my Stampa-ma-jig when making all of these cards and I have really loved it.  Watch this space I have a feeling there may be more six sided sampler cards to come.

Hope you like it.  If you want to have a go at this and need supplies simply hop over to my shop and order them.  It couldn't be easier, just click the link

Crunchie Crafts meets a colour coach ......

Hi guys.  So Crunchie Crafts, local Stampin Up Uk! Independant demonstrator was stuck.

In Today's Post

-    Colour Coach

Colour Coach

Are you ever stuck, surrounded by so much stuff and with so many colour ink pads to hand that you simply can't decide what to use?

Yes, me too!  You know you want to craft, but simply can't make up your mind.  Well I've got the solution to this problem.

How....

The Colour Coach from Stampin Up Uk!

This fantastic little swatch book contains every colour  Stampin Up Uk! Sell.  So that's 50 colour swatches.

How does it work.

I randomly select a colour.  Quite often with my eyes averted so I can't influence the decision.

On the back of each colour swatch are two sets of suggestions of matching colours.

These suggestions can firm the basis of your next project.

As you can see there are some lovely colour combinations.

What would you make with these colours .......  I have some lovely ideas, and I am also borrowing a stamp set from a friend to try out before I buy.

Which set .....  Oh sorry, the set is Six Sided Sampler.  It's a set of hexagon stamps with three lovely sentiments.  So it's not soft and flowing lines, doesn't seem pink and girlie, so wasn't something I dashed to buy.  Gutting really, as it also has a matching punch.  And I am now loving it, so guess what is on my must have list.

I have made three cards with the set.  All using a set of 4 colours chosen with the colour coach.

Check back on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to see my creations.

But for today, I'm off to my flower arranging course.

Here's the arrangement I made at Eden last week

I'm loving my weekly excursion to flowers from paper.  What do you do instead of card making.  I'd love to know.

Leave a comment with your blog address showing your other interests and I'll hop over and have a look.
