Flower Power

Hi everyone

Well what a fortnight it's been. Firstly thanks to everyone who left comments for me and hugs on my Blue Valentine post.  -  I apologise for not posting much this week, but I am moving so things have been very busy.  I have a lovely new little house that I am sure the kids and I will be very happy in.

Anyway today's post is a card I made for my fantastic sister-in-law  for her birthday.  The card is also my DT card for the wonderful Cutie Pie challenge this fortnight.  The challenge is flower power.

I have used a Make it Crafty image for this card.  I love these - they are fab to colour and always look wonderful. The backing papers are first edition.  The sentiment is from the Tulip range by Papermania.  I have of course coloured her with promarkers.  The edges were inked with TH Distress Inks.   I kept it quite simple as I wanted the image to really stand out and the backing papers are really glitzy.

I love these fabulous images from Make it Crafty.  I have coloured here with promarkers in my daughter's favourite colours.  The papers are a selection of Tulip (From Papermania) and Oxford (Kanban)  The two bows are both from Papermania and the sentiment from Kanban.  I have finished the card off with some card candi.  The shapes were cut using Spellbinders Nesties on my trusty Cuttlebug.  Off to get my daughter from school now and to give her this card.

The Cutie Pie Challenge - Favourite Song

Hi Everyone.

Bit late with my post this week.   Sorry.  Anyway more good news:

      I am now a fully fledged member of the Cutie Pie DT Team.  Thank you sooooo Much Woo for giving me a place on Team A.  I look forward to joining in regularly.

      Secondly I have offered a place as a featured guest designer on the Anything Goes blog in March this year.  I am busy preparing my projects for this and a short bio - an oh help they want a photo ............

Anyway enough of the news - now the important bit.

My song is Jolene, by Dolly Parton - the character has flaming auburn hair and eyes of emerald green and her beauty is beyond  compare ..............

The image is from Make it Crafty Stamps.  I just love her - she's coloured with my faithful promarkers and then mounted onto black card.  The papers used are from my Papermania stash and the sentiment also from my stash.  The base for the card is a square blue card.
