Beautiful Fairies and Flutterbys

Hi everyone, today's card is my DT card for the fantastic Anything Goes Challenge Blog.  Don't forget you can shop at the brilliant Craft Den - Lyn is always pleased to see her challenge entries popping up in the online shop.

Our theme this fortnight is Flutterby Butterfly.  Anything with wings ...........  I have sooo many gorgeous stamps and images of butterflys, fairies and birds that it took me ages to choose which image to use.  However the gorgeous fairy used is a digi image from Make it Crafty.  She of course is coloured with Promarkers.  The papers are all from First Edition - the Dreamcatcher and New Leaf collections.  The background paper has been stamped with a gorgeous tailors dummy and butterflies by Creative Creations.
I have layered the image onto black netting and added a black spotty ribbon bow finished with a butterfly charm.

I hope you like her.

Monochromatic - and i'm not talking about the weather !!

Hello to all my fellow crunchies ...........  are you all ok ????  It's very wet and horrible here in Taunton, lots of flooding - had to go miles out of way to get kids to school - but they got there and now my day is my own ......... wonderful.....

Today's challenge over on my Challenge Blog - The Cutie Pie Challenge - is monochromatic.  You are allowed to use other colours for hair and skin.  The prizes are wonderful as always.  Being a DT member is fab and I love it ........ it certainly makes you think about trying something different on your cards.

Anyway when this challenge came to light - I just knew that "Harley Boy" by Prairie Fairy was gonna be the focal point of my card.  I have coloured him in greys - a cool biker dude indeed.

I had just purchased a gorgeous embossing folder - Timepiece by Couture Creations - very steampunk,  and used this on a patterned paper which I then chalked using Dovecraft chalks to highlight the embossing.  The papers are the Liquorice Capsule collection by Papermania.  The images and embossing were layered with black card from stash.  The sentiment is by Creative Expressions - from their Steampunk Dreams range.

I hope this has inspired you and that you hop on over to the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog and join in this fun challenge.

Hugs

Time is flying over at the Anything Goes Challenge Blog

Morning to all my fellow "Crunchies".  I hope that you have had a fantastic weekend and that you caught up on all my exciting new yesterday.

Don't forget to become a fellow Cutie and hop on over to my Challenge Blog and join in.  We always have great sponsors and fab prizes.

As many of your now I belong to another fantastic design team - who inspire all you guys on the Anything Goes Blog.  This fortnight our challenge is "Tick Tock goes the Clock"  anything time related or steam punk.

Well how can a girl resist a bit of Tim Holtz in her life, and he fits so well with this theme.  It was my baby brother's birthday last month so this is the card I came up with for him....

The gorgeous clock is of course a TH Sizzex die.  The papers are by Kanban and also Graphic 45 and the edges have been distressed with TH distress inks.  I used spellbinder Nestabilities to cut the gorgeous matting and layering shapes.  The fantastic gentleman topper is from Kanban.  (Isn't he just so handsome and dapper!!)
The "Brother" wording was cut on my Cricut.
If you look closely you will see that the whole of the card was stamped with one of the new papermania urban stamps using black ink before I matted and layered all those fab papers.

I decorated the inside using scraps of the same papers used on the front.  The verse is one from an old card.  I stamped the paper with the same papermania urban stamp in a toning colour and then printed the verse.

Dont forget the fantastic Craft Den sells lots of gorgeous timmy products and many more besides.

I hope you like it.

Hugs
