Birthdays Galore

This week has been a very busy week.  Lots of folks are having birthdays around me and one couple is getting married.  So congrats to everyone, no matter what the occasion.

My first card is for a friend who is 50 next week.  He is in a band, and obviously loves music .....

I made the trifold card from a piece of 12 x 12 cardstock.  The numbers were cut on the Cricut, using the shadow facility.  The papers and tags are all from Bo Bunny Et Cetera Range.  I love this range.  The stickers are also from it.  I have included three song lines/titles on the card .......... hope he likes it.  As always I used good old Timmy to distress the edges.

This is an order for a friend her Mil is gonna be 65.  This card is from the girls to their Nanny.  The brief was sunset/autumnal colours.  Again the card is a 12 x 12 piece from stock, the papers are a mixture of First Edition ......... Leaves, DCWV Marriposa, shimmer card and green card from stock.
The tag was hand cut, the peel offs are from Anitas, including the ones used to make the dimensional butterflies.  The Bows are all papermania and the heart button is from stash.

This card is for my daughter's friend Pia.  Her Mum is getting married and she asked me to make a special card.  I am totally in love with all things Steampunk at the moment and Pia also likes this style.  I have used a Kanban topper, and First Edition papers.  The papers and have been cut and punched using a Woodware punching system, then layered to create the effect.  Inside I have printed a verse and then matted and layered the hearts punched out to give the border down the page.

This gorgeous card and matching handmade envelope are for the same lady who is gonna be 65.  This is from her Son and Dil.  The letters were cute from Papermania cardstock and matted and layered using the shadow effect on the cricut.  They were then put together and the back of the card made at 13" plus hinge.  The letters were then applied to the front of the hinge and then acetate was added to strengthen the front.  The Decoupage is from Papermania Lucy Cromwell collection, as are the die cuts inside the card.  The papers are from Boofle.

Hope you like these.

Bright and summery - even if it's -3 outside

Well it's been absolutely glorious again today, albeit absolutely freezing......

And all this sunshine gave me the inspiration needed for my next card.  I wanted to give a feeling of all things good about summer, the sun, the colours of the flowers, butterflies, pot plants and great birthdays...

I have used a sketch and stash sketch (No 7) as the basis for this card.  They have some fab sketches in their library.  The image is a Wee Stamps image.  I think she's just too cute.  What do you guys think??

The papers used are from Stampin Up, Pampered Pets, Kate Knight Totally Tropical and papermania card stock.  I used a spellbinders die to cut the centre shape and the sentiment is from the Tulip range.  The butterfly charm is from my stash of broken up jewelry. The pink and orange butterfly was cut on the cricut and then glittered using stickles.  The edges of all papers were inked using Marmalade TH Distress inks.  The image was coloured with my fab promarkers.

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:

Three little girls playing dress up .........

Hi Everyone, Thanks for dropping in and having a look around.

My card is a Triple Aspect card with all sides decorated.

To start I stuck three rectangular cards together, these were made by scoring and folding three A5 sheets of Papermania Card Stock, I chose a different coloured card for each, as I wanted the colours of the background to blend with my chosen promarker colours.

This is the front of the card

This is the back of the card

Next I stamped any three little girls - my chosen theme being dressing up - and coloured them with promarkers using the same colours throughout, mounting each one in it's own frame (cut with the Cricut)  These are the close up pictures of the individual frames of the card

My papers are from the Flower Garden Magnolia collection.  I decorated all the separate panels of the card, front and back with these.  My girlies were then mounted and layered onto their respective backgrounds.  A papermania bow was added and three papermania buttons down each side panel.

Swirls were added to each of the outside back panels (these were cut on the cricut) and three pearls added to each one.
A doily cut using the X-cut Lace die is the centre piece of the back of the card.  Again a pearl is added for dimension.  This was then mounted onto the centre back panel of the card.

Lastly two sentiments from LOTV were stamped and cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities.  These were mounted onto the front of the card using sticky pads.

The folded card ready to go into an envelope

There are several challenges I wish to enter this card into and also one DT call.

The DT call is Craftspot by Kimberley.  She has a fantastic range of victorian inspired crinkled ribbons and bakers twine in her shop, as well as a fantastic set of clear stamps and the creations on her blog are gorgeous.
The challenges are:

Crafty Cardmakers - Anything goes
ABC Challenge - A = Anything goes
