Pinkies Blog Hop - Tape It ........

page3image22360
Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Annual Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping.

TAPE IT.

When I saw this set in the catalogue I have to confess that I wasn't a great fan.  I didn't like Washi Tape much, so why would I like this.  Oh boy, have I ever changed my mind.

I love the fact that It is so versatile, that I can create different looks by varying how it is stamped, with which colours it is stamped and with what other stamps and punches I team it with.  Its a great main feature or just a little added extra.

So here it is stamped with Mossy Meadow and Hello Honey.  An elegant Butterfly has been punched out and distressed with Mossy Meadow along with some of the gorgeous new flowers from the Itty Bitty Punch pack this year.  Finished off with a few pearls and the lovely new sentiment from the Say Something Stamp Set.  So cute.

Hello honey and Lost lagoon, are such a divine colour combination.  Again a simple Say Something sentiment and a few flowers to finish off.

You can even stamp inside to match.

Has anyone spotted the two deliberate errors yet?

No, thats good.

I loved doing these two cute cards and hope that you have enjoyed them.  Don't forget all items can be purchased from my shop, just click the link in the left hand side bar.

Traveller reflection ....... what would you like to see this turned into?

Hi everyone.

I have been playing in the craft room again and am really adoring this wonderful set.  Its so versatile. But I particularly love the boat and the train.

I used the reflection technique again to create this gorgeous picture.

At the moment it is just a flat uncut piece of card with the stamped image on it.

My question to you guys today is

WHAT KIND OF CARD WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE THIS TURNED INTO?

I would love it if you would leave you suggestions at the bottom of my post.

When I have a few I will pick one and turn this into that particular card.

Perhaps you have a special occasion that you need a card for .......... suggest how you would like it used and I may well send it to you.

Reflection technique recipe:

Boat from Traveller Stamp Set

Tangello Twist Stamp N Write Marker - to do the orange colouring with

Lost Lagoon Ink pad

Water Colour Pen

Black Stayzon Ink Pad

Stampa Ma Jig

to do this technique:

Stamp your first image onto your card base (Where you want the top image to be)

Next stamp the image onto your plastic sheet from the stampa ma jig.

Turn this image over and line up under your stamped image - ideally they should be touching at the point of reflection

Then rub the back of the plastic sheet evenly all over the image so that the ink is transferred to your card stock.

Using your Stamp n Write marker colour in the orange areas and blend with the blender pen.

Then using the Lost Lagoon ink pad, squeeze pad together before opening to create puddle of ink on lid.  Take you water colour pen, and pick up a little of the diluted ink at a time and create the sea.

Leave to dry.

When finished you will have a gorgeous reflection.

Have a great day.

CASE ............ from Stampin UP Catalogue 2014

There are lots of things I love about getting hold of a new catalogue.

Not least is getting to look at all the lovely new products, choosing my wish list, then whittling it down a bit, then adding a bit more ....... you know what I mean I am sure.

But did you ever think about all the lovely pictures and ideas that are contained in this great book.

Have you ever looked at a picture in the catalogue and thought, hey, i'd like to do that.

Well you can.  You can CASE it.  Copy and Share Everything.

As long as you give credit for the idea, try and change it a bit, thats exactly what the ideas are there for.  To inspire you to get creative.

On page 145 there is a very simple and cute Thank you card at the top of the page.

This is a CASE of that card.

I have changed it up slightly

First I did a watercolour wash, using my classic ink pads and watercolour pen.  These is such a simple yet amazing technique.

Once dry I then stamped in the same colour ink with my Sentiment.  This is from the Feel Goods Stamp set.

The two colours I have used are Temping Turquoise and Rose Red.

I think these are very pretty, yet quick and easy to make.

So what project would you like to see me case from the book.

Let me know and I will have a go.

As always your comments are appreciated and I will try and answer everyone.

Have a great day.
