A cracking start to 2014

Hey guys

How are you all.  I hope that you had the most wonderful New Year and that 2014 brings you everything you wish for ....... And if you're a crafter I know that will be a never ending wish list.

Well, I'm sat in the lounge of my new home (well at least for the next 2 weeks) typing his on my iPad.  Yep!  I finally figured out how.  Simples really!  You just needed the right App.

So what have I got to show you.....

Christmas Crackers.  I know lots of others showed these before Christmas, and there were several different ones about, but all wih one common theme.

The Envelope Punch Board.

I also used the Festive Flurry stamp set.  I used pool party, island indigo and smoky slate to stamp the images before using the matching framelits.  Love love love this set...... So if you haven't got it, make sure you do before it disappears.

My crackers were complete with snaps, hats, jokes and a small prize.  ( snaps and hats bought from local stockist).

I stuck my snaps in with snail tape. The middle score on each end was perforated so it tore easily. These were used at three family events and everyone loved them.

So that's it from me today guys.  I hope you have a great day.

Happy .........

Hi to all my lovely followers.

Wow it's another year gone.  I can't believe I've been blogging for nearly three years now.  I've had a great time over Christmas re-reading some of my earlier posts.  And looking at how my skills and style have evolved.

I love the fact that I'm continually learning, evolving and changing .... Life has a way of teaching us great new things, and our experiences make us into who we are.  As crafters you all know this shows in what we create.  My blog has proved very much like an online memory book, so good, some bad and some amazing.  I hope you guys like reading it as much as I do.

Anyway, talking of amazing, I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and that your New Year was just as good.  My new year was spent travelling
in a couple of weeks I will have some amazing projects inspired by my travels to show you.

Unfortunately I cannot upload any pictures to my blog today for technical reasons, but please keep up to date with my wandering s and adventures by following my facebook page.  Just look for Crunchie Crafts or follow the link in the sidebar.

Anyway got to go.

Happy new year

Sweet Caroline

So your nifty and your fifty thats ok!!!

A good friend of mine (the landlady of the Ruishton Inn) turned 50 last weekend and we had a fantastic party to celebrate.

I wanted to make her something special, as she has a cabinet in which she displays special bits, also it had to have an elephant  included!

This gave me a bit of a challenge, I had also got a small wine bottle that I wanted to included, so with these three thoughts in mind I set to work .........

50, elephants and a wine bottle ..........

What would you come up with ..................

This is what I did,

I used the punches to create the punch art elephant on the front

The flower shop bundle to make the flowers

Chevron ribbon to create my gorgeous bow

and the itty bitty butterfly punch

I stamped the tag in matching colours to finish off.  The colours used are:
Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Calypso Coral, Old Olive and a bit of Costal Cabanna for contrast.

Caroline loved it.  I hope you did to.

If you would like any of the items to be able to recreate this project then please stop by my shop and place your order.  You can do this here ...........
