Hi everyone.

Firstly can I apologise for my absence the last couple of months.

Secondly can I wish everyone a very happy new year.  I hope that you all had a fantastic holiday season.

Thirdly can I share an exciting piece of news with all of you.

I have been made a DT Member of the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog.  I am their Mid-way Team member and it's my job to inspire all you lovely cuties out there to enter our challenges if you haven't already.

So here goes.

Anyway Over on the Cutie Pie Challenge blog this fortnight we have a great challenge.  Ribbons and Lace.  So go on get your thinking caps on and create a truly girly card using these fantastic items.

Anyway here's my card.  I have used a Teddy Bo image, given to me for Christmas and paper from my stash.  The wonderful ribbons, lace and muslin was a gift from my friend Teresa, (Craftingallday).  Thanks Teresa.

I made the card for my beautiful daughter's birthday at the beginning of the month.  The image was coloured with promarkers and then highlighted with stickles glitter glue.  The little buckle is from my stash.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and having a look.  See you soon.

For my hubby

Hi

Over on Docrafts this week, there was thread in the forum asking
"If you could make one card for anyone who would it be and why?"

Lots of us answered and our thoughts were from deceased relatives, to famous people and a few of us also mentioned our hubbies.

Well, mine has been having a tough time of it recently, and I really admire him for sticking with it, even though it's tough.  So on Saturday, I thought that I would make him a card to let him know just what he means to me ........... and here it is.

The Front

The inside front

What he really is to me

I'm quite a softy at heart and had not made him a card, since I started all this in May 2011.

Recipe:

Kanban toppers
Black cardstock
Gold Miricard
Kanban backing papers
Tim Holtz clock and pin
Black ribbon from stash

I am going to enter this into the following challenges:

Bearly Mine - One for the Boyz
Creative Craft Challenges - Minimalistic
Deep Ocean Challenge - Vintage
